I wonder if anyone can help. I run qbittorent on the latest Ubuntu release. I Cannot delete a torrent at all. if I right click on a torrent and click delete all that happens is the torrent line turns to black text and qbittorent becomes totally unresponsive. Nothing can be clicked on at all even close qbittorent. I think I need to delete the torrent qbittorent backup (BT_backup) to purge everything in case there is a corrupt torrent jamming things up.
This backup exists somewhere I think but this magic "somewhere" I just cannot find. I would rather go to the dentists for a filling than try and use ubuntu search facility. Any help would be much appreciated as I like qbittorent and there is not really much alternatives on linux.

:)Problem solved. I know I am going to look like a complete w*nker but I have sorted the situation. There was absolutely nothing wrong with qBittorent. I run a dual monitor setup ( actually a flat screen TV and a computer monitor), the confirm delete dialogue box was coming up on the TV screen even though that was switched off and I was only using the computer monitor. Thus the apparent lock-up was just qBittorent waiting for a response to the dialogue box that I of course could not see. I have found the BT_backup file quite easily, I just needed to use the Ubuntu (linux) keyboard shortcut control + H to show hidden files when using the search. I hope this might be of some use, if nothing else it pays to not assume things and try to solve problems in a logical way. I will experiment to see if I can get the delete confirmation dialogue to come up on the same monitor as the qbittorent window is on. If not I will be in the strange situation of having to switch the TV on to delete a torrent, Ho-Hum. I guess I got a bit intense with it because I was short of time.
