HTTPS - SSL Certificates Format & WebUI

I've been playing with this for a bit trying everything I could, updated to the latest build yet I still can't find a solution to my problem.  I'm using qbittorrent-nox on Debian via the webui, I have enabled HTTPS, entered my key and certificate, but it is not being accepted by browsers because of the lack of intermediate certificate chain.  I have tried chaining my certs, in this case I am using a Comodo Positive SSL which I use on several other sites without problem.  I am doing domain, intermediate, root and copying the combined file into the cert box.

SSL checker tools tell me my intermediate/root certificates are not being delivered even though they are part of my ssl_cert configuration entry.  Is there a specific format I should be using for certificates with webui, something akin to IIS?  Thanks.

I wasn't aware it uses real ssl keys, just local network https.

Is there a difference? HTTPS is always done with certs (self signed or not)

So, anyone with any thoughts on this?  I really don't want to switch to rTorrent =/

Why do you even need a "proper" certificate? A self-signed is good enough, isn't it?
(Just asking. I'm not an SSL expert so I can't help with the issue itself.)
