An IRC link would be great on the main site.
Just some information.

Is there an IRC channel? With actual people in it? That might be a better or faster way to contact or actually talk with the developer(s).

There is! Check the "Team" page, and you can see it.
(I added a new "News" here as well with the information.)
It's #qbittorrent on freenode btw.
