i can't use web UI

i can't use web interface on ubuntu 10.10, i have a laptop and on this one i use web UI (name:port), but when i try to do this on my other laptop nothing happens, maybe i need to install something, i don't know, i need some help please.

ps:sorry for my english, i'm not a native speaker.

Edit: i finally solved it, but i can't access from another computer, maybe because is localhost:8000, how can i change the ip? and if is possible, how i can i access to the webui from other computer outside my netwotk, i'm sorry for all this questions but i couldn't find an info on the web u.u

> Open up a terminal.
> Type: sudo ifconfig -a

Check for the IP.
Then use THAT ip on every local computers of yours.


If you need a static IP (so you want the laptop as a torrent server ..or something like that), then you need to configure that in your router. (Search for Static DHCP in your router)
And open up a port. (It's called: Portforward.)

thanks, i manage to enter using my internet ip, now if i want to enter from another computer outside my network the only thing i have to do is install qbittorrent, right?
