qBittorrent official forums

Hello!
I am new to qbittorrent and i cant seem to get transdroid app  working on my phone. i already read the only topic on this forum and registrated a NO-IP adress (i assume the adress is username.no-ip.biz) i entered this in de option / web ui in qBittorrent along with my username and password.
after this i set up my server settings on transdroid selecting qbittorrent as server type > ip or host name username.no-ip.biz > username and password
but it gives me an "error with connection"
please help!

When i wrote this message in the topic that you have read, i took a mega shortcut, i admit it. The best solution for your dynamic dns would be to enter it in your router configuration (your internet box generally).

Normally, there should be an option to add a dynamic dns like dyndns or no-ip so your box will update your dns on a regular interval. It's a bit more convenient, especially If you want to connect remotely to your computer.

If you don't have such option in your router then leave your no-ip hostname in qBittorrent and verify in Transdroid that you entered a port in the "advanced settings" of your qbittorrent profile. Of course, you have to open that port in your router too, otherwise you won't be able to connect to qBt.
