qBittorrent Questions

Hi,
I am enjoying using qBittorrent on Win XP. I have a few questions that I have thought of. If you could answer them that would be great...
1) There is an option for IP filtering. Is it worthwhile using a filter list? If so, which list do you recommend?
2) There is an option called "Use UPnP / NAT-PMP port forwarding from my router". I have set up port forwarding on my router for port 40000. Do I need to have this setting selected or deselected?
3) If a torrent contains several files, is it possible to select just individual files within that torrent to download?
4) "Outgoing ports (Min/Max)" settings are set at 0 (disabled). Is this okay? Will it stop uploading?
5) There is an option called "Global maximum number of upload slots". Does this control slots that are being used for downloading as well?
6) There is an option called "Maximum number of upload slots per torrent". Why would a torrent occupy more than one slot?
7) Where are parts of an incomplete download saved? (Is it the same folder where completed downloads are stored?)
8) When viewing the files of incomplete downloads in Windows, the "Size" is greater than "Size on disk". How can the file size be greater than the file size on disk (NTFS compression isn't being used)?
Thanks.
