I have really slow torernt downloads on my PC, The torrents have a lots of seeds and a good s/l ratio but they are extermely slow, occasionally i get one torrent up to 40kbps, then it drops back down to 5kb like all the other files. Ive tried using other torrent apps but none have been any better. The strange thing is, the other PCs in my network (my brothers) go at full speed. My web browser downloads are going at full speed too. Its just my torrent clients that down work.

Make sure you use a different port and you are getting a properly forwarded port, and not firewalled.

Also make sure you don't use the standard ports or port ranges just in case ISP is throttling "common p2p ports."

Then it is more probable that it is the jobs that you are running rather than a client 'issue'

Have you tested with known good payloads such as Linux Mint, Centos or Slackware Linux to eliminate the running jobs from the equation?

Are all BitTorrent clients on the network using a different port that is forwarded to the appropriate machine?
