Client change after a new Windows install

I just made a fresh installation of Windows and decided to change the torrent client from Vuze to qBittorrent. I remove the files from the directory, launch the .torrents, put the files back to the directory, launch a full check.

The client recognized the .torrents, the files and the tracker, but it is not seeding. I tried to download a new file and this one is seeded.

How to put my old files on seed ?

Hi and welcome to our forum :),

Did you added the torrents and rechecked within qBittorrent first? When the rechecking is done (torrents showing 100% again) qBittorrent should switch to seeding when you resume the torrent.

Hey thanks :)

- when I clicked on all the .torrent, there was nothing in the download directory
- qbit started downloading
- I quit qbit
- I put the old files in the directory (paste)
- I started qbit and rechecked all the files

ATM some files are in "queued" status, some others in "seeding", but none of them is actually seeded.

Can you make a screenshot of how it is right now if possible?

yes:

The selected file is the one I downloaded after the installation. All the others are the old files.

ATM some files are in "queued" status,
You probably need to adjust your queue settings Tools -> Options -> Bittorrent.
some others in "seeding", but none of them is actually seeded.
Any connected peers?

I already setup the options. I'm not looking for seeding more files, I'd like my old files to be able to be seeded. Just to finalize the installation.
Any connected peers?
Yes, some peers appear from time to time but only for a second.

If the loaded jobs are "Queued" your settings are not high enough to allow them to start.

Which sounds more like the jobs you are running are not in any great demand for downloading, Are these from a 'private' tracker, so likely to be overseeded?

Thanks you solved the problem !

I found in another post the Azureus U/L settings calculator, and used it to setup the options. I put "Maximum active torrents" at 5, which didn't allow the torrents to be seeded. I put 100 instead, all the files are in "Seeding" status, and one of the old files actually seeded.

Thanks a lot :)

Unless you need to control how many torrents are active at one time, like for a slow connection, you can just disable queuing. That way it's unlimited, by the program at least.
