Will there be a build using more recent libraries?
As the current .ppa version qBittorent 3.15 (4653-20140125) was built using older libraries
current versions:
Qt 4.8.5 (or 5 variant), Libtorrent v0.16.14, Libboost 1.55.0.

While I can't speak for the qBT devs, as a programmer I can tell you that using the latest libraries just because they are there isn't always ideal.

I am not a programmer, and I'm aware of stability issues, but, surely a release, that is built with more recent libraries, maybe not the very latest, perhaps (libtorrent 0.16.12.0 or 0.16.13.0) and Boost 1.54.0, to benefit from their updated properties

The PPA uses the system libs. So if ubuntu doesn't update their libs then qbt won't be built with the newest ones.
However this user seems to also package the latest libtorrent:
https://launchpad.net/~surfernsk/+archi ... t-software
If you use that PPA, be sure to remove the packages from our PPA. They may conflict.

Thank you for the information, I've used Evgeny Lensky ppa, as well the hydr0g3n ppa, but wasn't aware he used different libraries, he does indeed build with libtorrent 0.16.13.0

, I always remove the previous version before updating to the latest stable release (you can't be too careful)
