So I'll click on the .torrent file again to get it in my download list again and it says it's already on my download list and that it would be merging trackers. It's not in the list at all. Restarted the client, my computer, etc. Qb continues to claim it's already in there. Is this a bug? What's the workaround?

Have you tried changing the filters that you have selected in the side bar?

yeah no success, what's interesting is that even though the client claims it's already been added, you would think the download was initiated but there are no relevent files in my torrent download folder.

Not necessarily, if it was a magnet that failed to load the meta data, there is no known payload to start downloading pieces of.

And if that is/was the case the "size" column will say "Unknown" and will the job will only be visible in the task list if "All" and "All labels" are set as the filter (ie no task list filtering applied)

It wasn't a magnet link, I use a private tracker that only generates .torrent files

Then enable queueing, set the filters to All & All, sort by the '#' column and it should be first or last in the task list.

Where is that log? I checked the installation directory

View -> Execution Log.

Also post a screenshot of your main window (you may obscure torrent names)
