QBittorrent won't find downloads or recheck files

Hi, I am using QBittorrent portable 3.1.9.2. All of a sudden, the program does not find the existing downloads (0.0% on all download bars) even if the path is correct (options - downoads - save files to location) and program remembers the files structure and the priorities.
It had already happened in the past but I had solved the problem by forcing a recheck. This time it won't recheck any file
It asks for confirmation but then nothing happens.
Help appreciated!
