relocating individual files

one thing that refrained me from switching from µtorrent was this:

the ability to move files and keep seeding them (or keep d/l even tho that's probably more rare )

recently, qbittorrent fixed the relocate option through the "download path" , however this moves the whole torrent, including folder tree, making it impossible to seed a file independently of it's folder structure or neighbouring files from the torrent.... wich is precisely what i want to do, i.e seeding files outside of the torrent "package" but instead from where i store and use them :)

or is there a way i haven't found to do so ?

Always bearing in mind that your 'use' of the files in these circumstance could 'break' the payload if the files are modified in any way,  "tagging" or "re-tagging" for instance

of course, but even if files get corrupted, they can be rechecked and quickly become available again :)

either way it can also happen when files are in their download folder if you just leave them there, so it's not an issue that would be exclusive to relocating :)

Which will undo the tagging or whatever, until the next time

[quote[either way it can also happen when files are in their download folder if you just leave them there[/quote

Only if you ALLOW tagging to take place in the download location, which of course you should not be doing.

Nope, your download location should be excluded

Finally implemented on libtorrent, waiting implementation on qbt side too: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/439
