Replacement machine sorted, (Dual "Core 2 Duo" Xeon processors 16GiB ECC memory) clean install of Mint 16 and I can compile again!!!

However 3.2.0 .... "Unpaused"?????????

What? That's not even English in American!

Guys, the missing word is "Running".

This is a difficult one:
The active filter shows active torrents (up or down)
The unpaused filter shows active torrents + stalled torrents (up or down).
It is the reverse of the "Paused" filter.
If you have a better name to describe it, I'll gladly change it.

"Running" covers all the probabilities.

A car engine may be 'running' without the vehicle actively moving.
Central heating or air conditioning may be 'running' without producing any actual output.

It is the reverse of the "Paused" filter.

Sure but "unpaused" is a bit like Facebook using "unlike" instead of the grammatically correct alternative of "dislike", it does make it appear as if the wording was chosen by a six year old.

Or it could be "Started", it being the opposite of "Stopped".

"Running" is still close to "active" to me. "Resumed" seems better.
Unfortunately there isn't a oneword antonym for "paused" in the english dictionary AFAIK.

That's because "paused" doesn't actually have an alternative state. paused is a temporary cessation of a running state, and running is the state between started and stopped.

Now that's why there never should have been any debate about the structure of "tabs" and "spaces" in the code. Because ultimately as maintainer/co-ordinator you decide what is 'right'.

In this case if you(or anyone else) hadn't raised a flag I would probably leave it as "Unpaused" although initially I also thought it was strange as a word.

You are missing my point,

If five people had decided to propose a different word for that status in THIS thread, the end choice would in all probability STILL have been yours, which is exactly how the "tabs" discussion ended. and is pretty much how I predicted/hinted at as being the result.

Some discussions are futile, pointless and irrelevant and someone simply has to say .... "This is how it is going to be". With all the best will and "community spirit" in the Universe some things simply HAVE to "set in stone" from day one. In this case the actual word does not make a great deal of difference just as long as it is not the invented abomination of "Unpaused".
