System Tray / Notification Area / Dock icon.

With reference to this raised issue/feature (#2455) at github. Could some kind soul PLEASE explain to me why the colour/color, shape, saturation, etc. is somehow important?

Because; and to paraphrase from the world's third or fourth, though ostensibly best known fantasy fiction saga, "If thy tray icon offends thee, ... ... Just hide it" ...

(depending on your theme) the current windows tray icon doesn't have a lot of contrast.... Why it matters or is important to some people?  Only they know why..... hehehe

I know, I spend most of my day looking at one of my computers, reading 'e-books', watching documentaries, news, server monitoring UIs etc. etc. [ I don't possess a mind numbing T.V. by choice ] and I pay little or no attention to such trivialities, it's not as if anyone is likely to treat a computer screen as a "Work of art" but if they do ... ... The advice they should pay attentions is ...

Thanks for his input on making that new icon but that doesn't look good at all compared to the current one. Current one looks perfect, atleast over here with W7.
