Havent faced this problem before. At the same time just to bring you up to speed I am using Windows 7 Ultimate updated with the latest SP which came out about a week ago.

Could someone help me please as I have a lot of unfinished torrents queued up there and don't want to lose that data.

Thanks.

Just to update I have downloaded the latest version and installed it but still the problem persists. (V 2.8.1)

Well, you said you have 2.8.1 and we all had crash problems with it, but this was fixed quickly in 2.8.1.1  So the last version is 2.8.1.1 and it's work correctly. I have no idea why it crashes on your mashine.

The error is a different module and error message than the 2.8.1 error message.
As an example, Yours:
Problem Event Name: BEX
Fault Module Name: MSVCR90.dll
Fault Module Version: 9.0.30729.5570

And my 2.8.1 error:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Fault Module Name: LIBEAY32.dll
Fault Module Version: 0.9.8.15

Also the dll version you have listed in your error log is different from mine in 2.8.1.1 install folder, mine shows 9.0.21022.8

If you'd be willing to try my dll file, download it and place it in your install folder. Or, you may try waiting a few days for the official 2.8.2 windows build.

The 2.8.2 is out, the new "official" build it seems, built by sledgehammer_999. I had problems with his in the past though, so maybe not any better in your current situation. I'll upload my entire qbittorrent install folder if you want to try that before updating to his 2.8.2. Just overwrite every file with my files. Or, just go ahead with the 2.8.2 and see if that solves it for you.
