qBittorrent official forums

Hi
I've switched to ubuntu from win xp.
I've not had any problem to install it, and it had work very well for sometimes, but since some days, auto updates have installed me I think libtorrent v0.16 and I think this is the problem why qb does not start anymore...
Have someone the same problem??

Forgot to say i'm on ubuntu 11.04
and qb is 2.8.2

Hi,
Try to downgrade the libtorrent to version 0.15.6. The issue could be cause by qBittorrent starting minimized. Open terminal and edited the file in ~/.config/qBittorrent and changed StartMinimized from true to false. I'm hopping this will to help You.

But why the ppa update my pc to 0.16 if it does not work with qbt?? I did not do nothing special just copied the ppa from qbt website...nothing else...

In any case is neither the problem of started minimized because first it is false and in any case looking on the process list qbt start for a while and the immediately disappear....

Why qbt is not released for libtorrent 0.16??

Probably You have added unstable repository for qbittorrent, that's way your version is 0,16. The stable repository can be found here:
http://launchpad.net/~hydr0g3n/+archive/ppa
The easy way to downgrade is to change the repository for stable and reinstallation.
