problem with rar files

when i try to download an archive it downloads fine but then i cant open it because it has a rar password where do i get this password?

Then the rar file is password protected and you need to know or find it. We can't help with that im afraid. I would say look at the info provided with the rar file or try to find it in the rar name, sometimes it is a site address which could be written in the filename or the site where you found it. If none of these things worked I can't help you with it either.

Look again in the place from where you downloaded the archive. The pass may be in the description of the file, added as comment, etc.
