qBittorrent official forums

Hi all,

I have Qbittorrent-nox running on a RPI2. All is great, but for one issue which I believe is fairly common - I'm using a socks5 proxy, and after a certain amount of time without activity I need to manually trigger the proxy info to reload by opening the options menu in the GUI and clicking save.

This isn't the biggest problem in the world, but I wondered if there was a way to automate the reload. I wondered if there was a command line option that would have the reloading effect I could use in conjunction with crontab?

Yikes! Thanks for your help, but I think that's probably way beyond my (extremely) basic linux abilities!

I'll have a proper read of this and see if I can work it out though, I suppose it might make for a good learning project.

A small update - I'd still like to have a proper go at this some time, but for anyone looking for a quick workaround in the meantime I noticed this quite by accident in recent days:

It seems that as long as you have a torrent of some sort active, the proxy will continue to refresh as required, so simply seeding something at all times should work - or if you're looking for something with no bandwidth implications, even keeping the check my torrent IP torrent active seems to have done the trick!
