qBittorrent official forums

I have googled and searched the forums without luck.

I have for quite some time had a version, which I unfortunately do not remember the number on, of qbittorrent running on a Lubuntu 15.04 (running on a ESXi 6.0). Everything has been working fine.

Yesterday I installed an automatic update of Lubuntu to 15.10 and aparently it also updated QBT to version 3.2.3-2.

After the update I can't open the user interface. The QBT icon shows up in the panel but right clicking and choose "show" doesn't help. But when I have done that the right click menu top option changes to "hide", so apperently it "thinks" it's open.

Any other option such as "add torrent file" opens a file chosing window.

QBT is running fine; I can add torrents and they are downloading fine. But it's really anoying that I can't get into the user interface. I have not activated the webinterface so that's not an backup option.

Can anyone help?

close the client completely

Open ~/.config/qBittorrent/qBittorrent.conf. in a text editor


Enable the webUI and set the port if required;

to find the GUI if it is off screen right click on qbittorrent icon on whatever your "taskbar" is, select move, then use the cursor keys to move it into view.

I hawe that same problem con you explain this solution in simpler way.

Such as a picture?
