I manually update the IP filter on my headless linux server. I'm running qbittorrent-nox on Ubuntu server 16.04. Should I restart the qbittorrent daemon when I update the blocklist file? How do I know it is working at all? I don't get any feedback in the web UI and I can't find any logs that mention the ip filter.

I could swear that when you click the refresh button on the IPfilter list it will tell you how many items have actually been loaded?

Have you tried looking at the execution log tab in the webUI?

As long as the IPfilter.dat file can be loaded or is located locally you should be okay IMHO.
