Questions creating a new torrent

I am "trying" to create my first torrent. I understand the procedure. Simple enough; select "Tools" > "Torrent Creator" > then "Select file" or "Select folder" and browse to the appropriate location. The folder that I choose contains audio files and two (2).pdf files (student book & teacher book). Except......when I select the folder the audio files are there, but the .pdf files do not appear. Why is this? Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to put the .pdf files inside their own folder? Currently they are not, but they are in the main folder that I am choosing as my torrent as separate .pdf files. Windows 10 X64 ; QBit V4.0.4

for starters I create a folder call DELLME, but your folder will probably be a short but descriptive name too. I have copied 2 pdf and 2 mp3's to that folder.
then "Tools" > "Torrent Creator" > then "Select folder", because I want a single folder, rather then a file, select path to this folder, possibly fill in some boxes and press "create torrent" button, save the .torr for the hash to be distributable to mates.
look in the Transfer queue and I see DELME and it has the 4 correct items in it
Obliviously if you add to the files, change the content if them, or rename them you will have to start the torrent creation from scratch.
This was done using 4.0.4, but other versions worked the same way.

I put the .pdf files into a folder called BOOKS as a sub-folder to the main (torrent) folder along with the audio files, which are in 4 separate sub-folders; so a total of 5 folders. 4 with audio files and 1 with .pdf files. After creating the torrent and seeding it, if I right clicked on it and selected "preview file", but only the audio files (mp3) are visible. See attachments. They show the problem as described in OP.

I had a similar problem with uploading PDF files, but to be honest, I don’t even remember how I eventually managed to solve it. However, I clearly remember that the issue was with my software, because I was looking for an online editor like
https://pdfguru.com/heic-to-png which makes it easy to convert different files into various formats and edit PDFs. In general, if it's not too much trouble, remind me how you eventually managed to solve your issue.
