"invalid handle" on skipped file

So, I've got a multi-file torrent downloading, that I am not downloading all the files from. It keeps erroring off with messages like:
8/26/2018 3:06 PM - An I/O error occurred, 'TorrentName paused. TorrentName partfile write (F:\download\TorrentName\filename.ext.!qB) error: The handle is invalid
But the file in question is one of the ones I'm not downloading, so it's no wonder to me that the handle is invalid.
So does this mean something besides what I think it does, and what can I do to fix it?
