Basic torrent creating and uploading

I've created a large torrent, assigned it to my desktop, and 'appeared' to upload it.
It shows now as '2 seeds', 230 peers, but no one has actually started downloading!?
What did I do wrong? I must have MISSED a setting somewhere, but damned if I can find it!??
I've used this software to download for years, and would like to share some files...
HELP!?

I'm not sure what you mean.

1. Is your desktop a computer or desktop as in "Show the Desktop" (which minimizes everything else)?

2. Upload it to a public torrent-hosting website? ...Or upload it to a private tracker? People being able to find your torrent is the HARD part...

3. So qBitTorrent shows the torrent as started and seeding? ...but there's just no peers connecting to it?
