qBittorent v 4.1.3 (64 bit)

Hello,

I'm running windows 10 and have a port forwarded on my router as well as having set a static IP address.  Since installing and using a VPN, the port is not longer accepting incomming connections even though I have allowed the program through Windows Firewall.

Seeds would show up then promptly disappear.  The torrent would be in "stalled" status and after several attempts to force resume, it would then go to "Error" status.

This happened without the VPN as well.  It worked fine after initial install but I suspected my ISP of screwing with me which is why I got the VPN.

I"m not sure what other info to provide but if you ask, I will provide it.

Settings:  Protocols enabled:  TCP and uTP
Use UPnP/NAT-PMP Port Forwarding from my router is enabled
              Global Max connections:  500
              Max. Connections per torrent: 100
              Anymous mode is enabled.

The port is visible without the VPN using canyouseeme.org.

Thanks in advance!

Keeping your router port forwarded on the port that qBT uses won't help if using a VPN -- instead it means unfiltered, unencrypted traffic can come in on your normal internet ip address instead of from the VPN.

After using the VPN, did you port forward the distant server of the VPN? (sort-of like its router, NOT yours)

There is also possibility that the VPN blocks torrent traffic.
Barring that, it's also possible your ISP is interfering somehow...or you have other networking problems.

Thanks for the reply.

It's TorGuard so it's not that they block anything.  I'm going to look into the settings.

UPDATE:  I set the external IP address in my router's port forwarding settings to the Ip address the vpn is routing me through but it still is not reachable.
