qB v2.9.7 on Ubuntu Oneiric. All torrents pause, no activity.

Post by RayArdia »

qBittorrent has been working faultlessly for over a fortnight but has suddenly stopped working. All torrents are shown in red and are Paused.
Have tried reinstalling qB (without deleting the old installation) but problem continues.Restarts do nothing, every time I open qB the situation is as above.
What should I do?

Which tracker are you using? (Just the url, name, whatever. Don't post the whole announce url!)

No tracker named. When I click on 'Trackers' nothing happens.

Sorry. Uhm... where did you download the torrent? Which site? Domain? Search?

Shiki asks about the torrent file, not the torrent client.

Sorry to be dense but I can't answer that because all torrents which were downloading (and which in the past have shown their URLs) now just show paused.
BTW, I previously said that when I key 'Trackers', nothing happened. Now when  I key it I get a list as shown in screenshot.

How about to try clean installation? Uninstall QB, delete all hidden folders and then make fresh install. But save your torrent files on some other place before to do that. Then you can add them again.

Tried that but I still have the same torrents (paused) listed. I think I may have failed to remove some hidden files.I am quite prpared to lose all the torrents currently in progress. Can you help me with the commands needed to fully remove qBittorrent and the to reinstall, either from the Ubuntu software centre or from a .tar source?

[quote="qBT FAQ at SourceForge.net"]Where does qBittorrent save its settings?

qBittorrent saves its preferences in ~/.config/qBittorrent/ folder. The .torrent files are stored in:
  • ~/.qBittorrent/ by qBittorrent < 2.1.0
  • ~/.local/share/data/qBittorrent/ by qBittorrent >= 2.1.0. This is the standard XDG data folder.
