How do I transfer qBittorrent from Windows to Linux?

Not sure if this should be in the Linux section, but anyway ... I have researched this a bit and can't find an easy way to do this. I am on Win 7 and want to transfer to Linux (probably Mint). I have about 300 downloads in various states of completion. I have found a way that might do the job but involves doing a recheck on all the files once the transfer from Win to Linux has been done. I'm no way doing that; it takes days to do the rechecks!
So, any way to do this simply?
And why, just why, have the devs not made this - and Win to Win transfers for that matter - a product feature?
