Problems that may or may not qualify as bugs

Post by Peter »

Okay guys, here are two of 'em.

- Memory usage: It's constant high. uTorrent decreases the memory usage if the speeds are slow (like just a few Kbps), but here, it remains above ~270-290MB of active used memory.
- Choking/killing network traffic: If you download with a very high speed, qBIttorent will just kill the network. I managed to achieve half my download speed, before pages stopped loading. I have adjusted the network limits, and my ports are open. I don't know the exact reason why did it die. It's like you would create ~5000 connections and let the router overload/die. (But I had a 300 limit, so that's only possible if the limit was ignored that time.)

CRASH ON STARTUP

Post by TotoElPerro »

qBittorrent was downloading like blazes when my Vista SP2 machine experienced a power failure (My OS was not responding, so I had to push the power button for five seconds to shut it down.)

After the reboot, QBittorrent would not start.  I uninstalled 2.9.7 and reinstalled 2.9.7.  Same problem.

The Vista error message was "QBittorent has stopped working...."  So I deleted all the files in qBittorrent's folder for working downloads, the temp folder.  No change.

I think the application is trying to load the torrents it was working on when the machine turned off.  These files are still there, both in my torrents directory and in the copy of torrents directory.

Is there a cache or preferences file I can clear before running the program?
