With a large library of TV and movies, are there any applications to manage this in a way?
I'm thinking of an app/webUI that will display a navigatable view of the files along with meta data, thumbnail, big banner, etc.
I'm sure I've seen something for this but I'm lost as to what this is called.
Ideally, a way to use this app to keep things updated when you add a file/episode.
And to be able to launch the selected file in VLC.
Looking for some software to manage libraries.

Plex? (JellyFin, Emby are similar softwares).
Maybe "Kodi"?

I just started using TinyMediaManager and it seems to be working so far. At least it works pulling the online data and saving jpg and data locally into an xml, which could then be used by any program if TMM can't handle the workload.
I tried kodi a few years ago and there was a limit on # of actors that made it unusable.
