Public trackers not working.

Tried using several public trackers, and most of them either didn't work (said not working) and the one that did, it would say i was the only person in the swarm, but i was not. My friend trying to download the torrent said on his end, on utorrent, said there was 2 leechers in the swarm.
These are some of the trackers i used:
Code: Select all
udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80
udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80
udp://tracker.ccc.de:80
udp://tracker.istole.it:80
http://www.h33t.com:3310/announce
The swarm that actual worked on qBittorent was
http://www.h33t.com:3310/announce
Any ideas?

hmm..
The first thing that comes to mind is this:
http://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php?topic=865.0
..but there was a new report saying that they're back up again:
http://torrentfreak.com/publicbittorren ... rn-120802/
..but then again; if you read the comments under that last article, people are reporting that they still can't connect to those trackers.

I just tried out a bunch of different torrents, trying to connect to those trackers..
I was able to connect to all of them using qBittorrent v3.0.0.
The only one that didn't work at first was one that used udp://tracker.istole.it:80
..but then I found one that used udp://tracker.istole.it:6969, and qBittorrent connected immediately.

An option that qbittorrent has is you can use it as an embedded tracker... as long as you trust this other person with your IP address (then again they would get it when they connect to you as a seeder anyway).
I never actually used the service myself but I assume when you create the torrent you just enter http your IP address, and port, as the tracker and enable the embedded tracker in Advanced so it acts as a tracker.
