Hello, I am a complete greenhorn when it comes to this so bare with me.  I tried downloading the latest version of Qbittorrent and there is a problem.  When the download begins a pop up comes on and says error opening file for writing C:\program files (x86)\qBittorrent\qbittorrent .exe.  I am completely lost here.  Cam someone help me out?

Are you saying that when you download, you're selecting the save-to location to the Windows program files folder? This could be windows access restricting write access to your program folder, as it should do... in short, recent versions of windows do usually protect the folder location and system folder from just anything creating files in these locations. Program Files folder is ideally only for installing programs, not saving files directly into.
You need to save the "installation executable" to a temporary location like desktop or user downloads folder. Then you run that file after it's done downloading and it guides you through the installation process, at which point, assuming it installed successfully you can delete the file you downloaded and run your newly installed program through the start menu or, if you created a desktop shortcut, you can run from that also.

Thanks for your help.  I switched downloading to a new folder and it did download without problem but it's not opening now.  I deleted all traces I could find and downloaded again and I'm getting the same results.  When I downloaded the previous version it worked without flaw. I'm lost.
