Does qBittorrent have a complete user manual?

Downloaded qBT from portableapps, just to check it out.  No user manual incl.  I don't see  a manual mentioned here.  Checked out the "Help" page & wiki - helpful, but very limited.  Used uT a good while & qBT preferences UI is fairly similar, but has differences.  So I really need a help file / user manual that explains how qBT uses various settings (or even what units it assumes, when not stated in UI).

Don't ask, "Which setting do you need help with."  Need to know how it behaves when check various options; what it does w/ various values.
There are enough differences in qBT & uT that I don't feel comfortable "assuming" they behave the same when similar sounding options are checked / values entered.

Not the "official" qBT's problem, but the portableapps v3.0 crashed my system (shut it down) when I tried dragging the main UI screen to make it bigger.  Not a good sign, since that's probably the 1st app to crash my system (Vista x64) in... ever.  So thought I'd try the installer version.  But, if no "real" manual that has some details for each option, not too sure about it.  Thanks.

That's the good thing about open-source! You can always make a full documentation (both offline and online) in your free-time and ask the author to include it!

Good one!  Then, answer is "No manual"?

1) For ex., in qBT why is there option to change location to save files, but not to change save path for torrents?  Am I understanding that?
There's option where to save INCOMPLETE torrents.

2) What does option, "copy .torrent files to" do?  Is it just making a 2nd / BU copy?  I could understand if it said, "copy / move completed .torrent files to."
Wouldn't it make sense if users want to save files to non default path, might also do same w/ torrents?  I always do in other clients.

3) BitTorrent tab>Encryption:  Does "Require Encryption" (or other options) apply to BOTH down & up loading?  Might mention that on the UI.
can always make... documentation... ask the author to include it!
Uh, huh. ::)  Just made changes that an addon dev asked for help w/ (which were perfect), then "changed his mind."  Won't make that mistake again.
Manuals are often one of last things done on open source projects.

Apps this complicated w/ NO manual are a bit like flying jets w/ no instructions.  Used other clients & uT, but its Options UI & wording is different enough, that w/o lots of trial / error or asking LOT of forum questions - fairly tedious process.  Can't write a manual explaining what qBT does w/ given values, cause don't know how it's coded & I'm not a coder - to read & understand it.  If I had ability, be willing to help.  Basic stuff, sure.

Oddly, other open source apps I'm extensively familiar with, offered to clarify / reword manuals needing serious corrections, in "proper" English - was turned down.  Still uncorrected, today.  Go figure.

Thanks.

1) I don't understand what your asking in order to answer, Save files to location: can be thought of as the "default" location where you save your files... I don't know how that could be worded any more clearly.
There is a separate setting for location of incomplete torrents.

2) You are correct to assume that it creates a backup copy of torrent file in the directory of your choosing when a new torrent is added, not on completion, (in my opinion I see no practical use for this feature, but I guess some people use it).

3) I don't know, I always assumed prefer encryption was just uploading and require encryption was downloading and uploading.

1) Thanks loki.  I also sometimes misread questions.  I asked:
why is there option to change location to save files, but not to change save path for torrents?
Another way:  Why isn't an option included, to change the "save .torrents location", the same as you can change "save file location"?
AFAIK, you CAN'T CHANGE location where (completed) .torrents will be saved.  Should be able to.  Maybe user wants to save all torrents / files to external media or HDD, etc.

2) I don't see the point of a COPY.  I see (in uT) the usefulness of "MOVE completed torrents to:" option.  Like you, don't know what this is for.

3) No manual / online Help, covering settings / fairly comprehensive wiki.  "When we Ass.u.me"... most know the rest of that joke. :)  I don't assume anything about options, worded like that - in any app.  It's not a yes / no option.  Been wrong in past - behavior of some apps' settings (& wording) are counter intuitive.  Likely, only devs know what it actually does.
