Hello,

So i recently switched from uTorrent to qBittorrent and i can't find the option to right click delete torrent+files. All i have is the ability to remove the torrent from the list but the torrent file and the downloaded files are still there.

What am i missing ?

Right-click -> Delete and check the box to delete files too.

I'm a new user, got the same problem. The files are not deleted, did find a fix for that?

Hey everyone, I figured out the issue and wanted to share it here for others who might have the same problem. I noticed no one mentioned this, so I hope it helps.

The program does delete files correctly, but it only works for torrents that were originally downloaded through QBittorrent. When I installed QBittorrent, I migrated several torrents from uTorrent using the bt2qbt utility. When I tried to delete those, the torrents disappeared, but the files remained on the hard drive.

It was really confusing, and it took me a few weeks to start using QBittorrent with torrents that I added directly through it. When I deleted those, all files were successfully removed

So, to summarize: Files from torrents that were imported from uTorrent to QBittorrent don't get deleted, but files from torrents that are originally added to QBittorrent are deleted without any problems.

I hope this explanation is clear and helps others. I'm also going to post this same message in other threads where I asked for help. Hopefully, there won't be any issues with repetition.

Hi, i'm newbie here, also searchin for this option in qbittorrent, but i did not export old torrent-files from uTorrent, only new files and result is the same. I already used to delete files files with torrent and manual deleting is very annoying.

Set this under Options → Advanced


Then when you go to remove the torrent + data you'll get this prompt. Check the box and to the left of it you can click the lock icon button to save the setting (it will become grayed out).
