Time active

Question: How does the time in the "Time active" column is calculated?
I Imagine it's the time that the torrent has been actively trying to download/seed, but for me it's roughly the time since I started the torrent for the first time, even while my computer has been off at times.
I imagine this is happening because I hibernate instead of turning off the PC?
Btw when you input "time active" on the search, it takes you to a 403 error page. I'm guessing "time" is a command of sorts and using it plus another word is not allowed?
