qBittorrent official forums

Recently I have been getting an error message that says that my downloading torrents/files are being used by another process, so they switch to upload mode only. I happened to come upon a reddit post that suggested closing Spotify. Surprisingly, this worked, but why?
This is a first as Spotify and qbittorent have never clashed before. Could any assistance be offered?
I use both apps frequently, and it would be a pain to have to sacrifice the use of one for the other.

Update: Possible Solution

Specifying that Spotify should only search music library for new songs seems to help. Hopefully this helps.

Good guess it was my first idea too: QBT files indexed by Spotify which tries to lock them
you can duplicates files to your libraries and point Spotify to this last one (instead of the whole drive) to avoid it
(script or anything similar)
