Hi.

I'm trying to download a torrent with two files, one with 64.7 MiB and other with 1.936 TiB (yes).
The torrent was downloaded up to 57.9% normally, with a speed of 1000 KiB/s.

After that, the message "Delayed Write Failed" started to appear indicating the largest file, the file with 1.936 TiB of size.

I use a USB 3.0 server with five 6 TB HDDs in RAID 5.
One of the HDDs was damaged after the message "Delayed Write Failed" started to appear.
I had to replace the HDD and RAID reconstructed the data.

The message "Delayed Write Failed" keeps appearing and I paused downloading the torrent for fear of damaging another HDD.
With the torrent paused, the message does not appear.

I use Windows 7 x64 and qBittorrent v4.1.4 (64-bit).
Coalesce reads & writes = enable

What can I do?

Delayed Write Failed usually means there is trouble writing to drive. Test the other drives in the array to make sure they're not also failing, and make sure there aren't any USB issues.

I use the Hard Disk Sentinel for monitoring the HDDs.
All HDDs on this server were 100% healthy.
It appears that downloading this torrent has damaged one of the HDDs.
Up to 57.9% of the download, approximately 1 TiB, the HDD resisted. After that it didn't resist anymore and it damaged.

I'm thinking of downloading it another server with two HDDs in RAID 1, using the eSATA interface.
Put only this download accessing the server, and on an interface different than USB 3.0

Well, I don't know what's happening exactly with the drives - but you cannot damage a drive from software.
Like no matter what software you run, how much you download / upload stuff, the drives will never sustain physical/hardware damage.

(This applies to hard drives; you can write too much on SSDs, but that's a whole different story.)

I also don't know what is happening.
I have 32GB of RAM. How can I configure qBittorrent to use the minimum disk? Not recording on it all the time?

You can't do that. You can increase disk cache (it will put more data in ram before writing), or delayed writing, but it will all just delay the inevitable and cause you to lose more data.

What kind of server are you running?
I mean, 6 drives in RAID5.. is it a NAS? Is it a normal PC with 6 drives?

I have 3x DAS Orico 9558RU3 each one with 5x 6TB in RAID 5.

Hmm. Does it let you see the SMART data?
I'd be interested to see the SMART information for the drives..

Yes, I can see the S.M.A.R.T parameters using Hard Disk Sentinel.
The Hard Disk Sentinel monitors all HDDs/SSDs at all times.
None of the discs exceeds a temperature of 40 ºC. All are in the green range temperature of the Hard Disk Sentinel.
All discs on the server I used to download were 100% "healthy". It still remains 100% because I replaced the damaged HDD.
All three servers are turned on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Every time I needed to use RAID to recover data from a disk, the server "saved" me.

Hmm if the server is 100% alright, then the problem could be also caused by the network connection (wifi, ethernet, router, etc.)

But the network connection is related to this error "Delayed Write Failed"? Related to HDD failure?

Well it simply means Windows could not finish the writes. So anything is related until the data arrives to the HDD.
Can you check Windows Event Log when this happens? It should tell you some more information as well.

What events? Sorry, but I don't know how to use "Windows Event Log".
