Hi - I find most of the torrents I download on Pirate Bay. There seem to be about 6 or 7 or the same dead trackers that are included with every torrent. If I delete them individually it speeds up my download quite a bit. Is there a setting where I can list dead trackers so it deletes or blocks them automatically on all new torrents? I'm kind of new to this. I found the setting to "Automatically add these trackers to new downloads" where I have a few really good ones listed. It adds them to every new torrent and works great! I saw the setting that shows a place to list Banned IP's but it's empty so I guess that's a different thing. Any ideas? Thank you.

Banned IPs is totally different.
It's weird though, this should not affect your download / upload at all. But...
You can go into Advanced Settings and tick "Always announce to all trackers in a tier".
Make sure to have "Always announce to all trackers" ticked too.

About the trackers...
There is a project by ngosang where you can download a list of actually working trackers: https://github.com/ngosang/trackerslist/
But there is no way to strip the dead ones from an existing torrent - besides just clicking them, removing the original ones and then adding these.
As you said, you can add a list of trackers in Settings, but then you end up with a lot of dead and working ones...

Hope the advanced setting will sort it out for you though.

1. Dead Trackers cannot directly slow down downloads (possibly only the time to find more seeds/peers). Other trackers will provide the peers if polled in parallel.

2. qBT can probably define a timeout to a tracker as a trigger to announce it dead, at least for the current session. A list is unfair, since it can be under maintenance or something else temporarily...

3. I think that qBT can increase the cycle time for those inaccessible/timed-out (if it doesn't already) . It's good enough IMHO.

4. You can always remove all empty lines in your specific torrent's trackers-list to cancel the tiers, and poll every tracker in parallel.
