qBittorrent v4.4.0 CPU usage/freezes

Post by gaz »

Updated today from 3.x on a 5-6 year-old Dell inspiron Windows 64-bit laptop. V4.4 seemed to take an amazingly long time to load, is sitting at around 40% CPU use, and 'freezes' to white screen when I try to open menus. Is this just a bedding-in period or do I have a problem? If I need to try a clean install is there a way to backup my settings and current active files?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I do not understand why did they make this decision
on hiding the options on pieces downloading in this update
now
i have to click on individual torrent files and go to settings and they check the
either sequential or first to Last order to download

This has probably to do with something within libtorrent itself, see here:
https://github.com/arvidn/libtorrent/issues/6522

Im following the updates regarding this issue also.

And I do not understand why you would write this down in this topic with a different subject. But to answer your question; I think it will be reverted back like it was before. We were used to it like it was including myself.

Changed topic title for clarification.
