Upgrade Turns PROXY OFF! - Very Concerning & a ShowStopper

Okay, I am really scratching my head about this, so need some feedback. This morning I received an infringement email from my internet service provider. It concerned a torrent less than 24 hours old and had my unmasked IP. I was a bit perplexed by the email as I had qBT setup with a proxy (BTProxy).

Upon further investigation, I discovered that my proxy Server settings had mysteriously changed in qBT. The Type had been changed from SOCKS5 to (none) and the Authentication was ticked off. As I set this up and tested it myself with a test torrent a few months ago when qBT was configured, I am unclear as to how these settings could have been altered. (I am the only one who accesses and uses this PC)

Even more troubling is that the torrent that generated the infringement letter had also disappeared among the list of torrents. All others were intact.

I have some theories, such as the recent upgrade to 4.4 may have changed the settings, but this doesn't explain the odd disappearance of the torrent itself. Has anyone else experienced changes to their Proxy Settings?

I'm just throwing this out there, for I have done this for some time and am rather careful. I welcome your thoughts and input as I am finding these actions somewhat concerning.

Known bug with 4.4.0 unfortuantely.

Bug?? From what I saw transpire, I'd say it suggests much more than a Bug. Maybe the Proxy settings intentionally were not migrated in 4.4.0 to cause real IP exposure? Why did only this single torrent disappear from long Torrent list? Think about it......This update should have been pulled once this was reported.
