except the .unwanted folders in every folder being shifted to the renamed folder.
As a result, the original folder still exists. With the exception of that, all's well!

I don't understand this. Can you explain more or show pics?
Changed folder name or renamed files?

Re: Changed folder name or renamed files?
Let us assume a torrent titled qBittorrent (3.1.x), download in progress, with file contents as in attachments (Screen_1 and Screen_2).
Then, what I do is rename qBittorrent (3.1.x) to qBittorrent. What happens now is that all the items that have been downloaded are moved to the new folder, qBittorrent. Then, the contents of the original folder, become this (the .unwanted folder has been unhidden for the purpose of this post) - see Screen_3.
So, the .unwanted folders (though empty), are still there, in the original folder. Shouldn't the original folder be deleted automatically?
Secondly, in the event the .unwanted folder isn't empty (say, I chose not to download Torrent Downloaded from qbittorrent.org.txt text file from each sub folder), then the original folder still exists, though it contains only the subfolders (see Screen_4). Again, shouldn't the original folder be removed automatically?
I hope I've been clear enough

Re: Changed folder name or renamed files?
Can you craft a dummy .torrent file (through torrent creator), share it here and give me steps on what to do to reproduce on my machine.
I have something in my mind, I just want to make sure.
PS: Is the ".unwanted" folder that remains behind empty in all cases?

Sorry for not being clear on that. In case all files are downloaded, it is empty. In case a file or more is deselected (priority as Do Not Download), the .unwanted folder does not exist in the folder in which the file was present (in Screen_4 in my previous post, as you can see, none of the subfolders contain .unwanted).

If you mean to just create a .torrent file, then yeah. I'll do it shortly.

Re: Changed folder name or renamed files?
Give step by step instructions too.
Re: Changed folder name or renamed files?
Dummy torrent file in attachments (dummy.torrent).
Steps to reproduce what is happening:
Steps to reproduce what is happening:
- Rename the original folder to, say qBittorrent through qBittorrent.
- View the folder via Windows Explorer (File Explorer in Windows 8 and later).
- Modify Explorer settings to enable viewing of hidden folders.
- Notice the .unwanted folders in each sub-folder of qBittorrent (3.1.x), the original folder.
- (Won't work for this one, since it's a dummy, but you can try on other similar torrents.)
Try assigning Do Not Download priority to the text file in one of the sub folders. Then, attempt the renaming. You'll find that the .unwanted folder in the corresponding subfolder is missing. In short, the rename function almost works as intended (the original folder is still not removed) in this case.
