What has HTML got to do with this discussion?

HTML is a markup language NOT a protocol, or will your next point be that you want to write a C++ application using only a web browser and don't see why that shouldn't be possible?

There is an adage of;
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than it is to speak up and dispel anyl doubt"

Perhaps you should take that advice for what it is, rather than dig your hole any deeper.

Dude, HTML5 based off your http protocol......And your marked up language can also combine with flash and JS to get your net experience.

SO yes, "the client" can use the protocol and modify the information it gets

Your Strawman arguments suck, and i doubt you can program.....

And for your information i can flush the files to 100% EXCEPT for the last file

HTML5 based off your http protocol.[/guote]
Please stop displaying your ignorance of how things are, it doesn't do you any favours.
HTML is a text based markup language that web 'pages' are constructed in.

HTTP is the protocol that is used to access the pages from web (HTTP) servers, HTTP is ALSO the protocol that HTML 1.0, HTML2.0, 3.2, 4.01, CSS, javascript, Java applets Flash, and so on. The protocol does NOT change to suit the medium being carried.
The medium uses the appropriate protocol NOT the other way around.
Your Strawman arguments suck, and i doubt you can program.....
aha resorting to insults how very adult of you.

You need to do a lot of research into the difference between communication protocols and  languages, so you can understand when it is time to stop talking and time to start learning.

geez, you just don't get it.

If you don't like the way qBit handles this write your own client to work the way you want it to.  Let's see if you can ignore the protocol specifications and still make a usable client.

Even better, go over to the uTorrent site and tell DreadWingKnight all about your issue and see what he says......

Then, you'd also have to "compete" your protocol or get EVERYONE to switch from the official torrent protocol... which all successful torrent programs use, even if it would be possible.

stubborn gezer DreadWingKnight
Rearrange these words into a well known phrase or saying;

pot, the, calling, kettle, the, black.

And there are two 'e's in "geezer" and yes I am 'picking on you' ...

because  you make it SO easy.

the HTTP protocol is used in different ways by firefox, IE, chrome, Opera etc etc....
That ignorance is showing again. Browsers may render HTML and CSS in slightly different ways,  but HTTP is used in EXACTLY the same way by ALL browsers because if it wasn't .... .... They wouldn't work at all.
[note type="to-self"] Stop it! You are being patronising again[/note]

And yes on matters such as this, I am just as stubborn as DWK, but then we have a right to be stubborn, because the FACTS are on our side, whilst you, on the other hand merely appear to only have the arrogance of a teenager who thinks that he knows everything about everything.

I think that depends on whether ollie2012 has accepted that some things do not bend to ones will and if it doesn't do what you want, ... ... You're probably using the wrong system.
