qBittorent start minimized in 11.10, can't re-open window

Post by soundguyjon »

So I am using a relatively fresh re-install of Ubuntu 11.10, and I just installed qBittorrent. I love the program and have been using it for years now. I typically have it run minimized when I log on, and it monitors certain folders, that way my torrents are always downloading. Anyways, I set the start minimized setting, closed the window, and now I can't get it back. I have the icon on the upper bar of my window, which gives a dropdown menu with a few options, whether I right or left click on it. The options are Add Torrent File, Alternative Speed Limits (toggle), set global download limit, set global upload limit, Resume all, Pause all, and Exit. None of them re-open the window. I've tried left clicking, right clicking, double clicking, middle clicking, etc. and nothing works. I've exited and re-started the program. I want to see how my downloads are progressing and to change other settings. And I couldn't find anything on Google. Any help? Am I missing something painfully obvious?

Thank you very much. I had to do something slightly different, since the menu bars would show up for me during the splash screen. Instead I would go to the icon on the notification tray, click Exit, then go the the menu bar > tools > etc. But thanks so much for the link!
