Thats very high indeed. Mine is around 20k - 40k mostly, seeding and downloading active. Im using v2.9.3 from mkdib but that doesn't make a difference for me cause its always around those numbers, same with v2.9.2 and lower.

how many active torrents and how fast are you down or uploading?

looks like this for me

note: nothing else running except windows itself and im using 200 MiB disk cache
and you might want to call it memory leakage because its not the qb process that's using it but i now its qb thats causing it besauce if i close qb my ram usage goes down to 1gb

By the way that picture shows only the total usage of ram, not specific from qBittorrent.

i now thats besauce QB only use 40k like it does for you guys but i think there is some memory leak involved because when i close QB windows only use 1GB ram instead of 5GB

Is this possibly related to the force recheck bug, where the RAM gets all used up you can see in the performance or memory usage but it doesn't show where or what is using it. For example in the task manager processes it doesn't show the memory used but it obviously doesn't add up.

Or, I wouldn't completely rule this out, but I do see that you have a lot of very large active torrents. Maybe any torrent client would behave similar, under the same circumstances.

Next, is there any specific reason you are using 200 MB disk write cache? Maybe this setting is using per torrent cache, that would explain away almost 4.5GB, but I don't see why it wouldn't show in processes. Maybe you could try cutting this cache value in half, and also causes the RAM usage in half? Please check and see.

I just looked at my own RAM usage, the "unofficial" build I was using that seemed great was running for a week or so at least had 1.4GB of RAM usage. I think I may transition back to official, who knows what was up with that nyyu build. I would still like to see an official portable version though... now that I at least know it's possible. The official is using 17KB of RAM... although it did just start.
