Need Help Troubleshooting Connection

Post by fullsailj »

Hello,

I've been happily using qbittorrent for the last 4 or 5 years, until 3 months ago, when it quit working.
I'm a newbie when it comes to network configuration.  Don't really know what settings cause which behaviours. If anyone knows of a network FAQ I should read, that would be great.

I don't know what information is needed to debug. Please let me know...

To start with:
Running v3.1.8
ISP: AT&T U-verse, My Host : 99-117-72-196.lightspeed.snantx.sbcglob
Tried on multiple machines running linux mint 17 & 18. Always get "No direct connections" and nothing works.
Tried disabling firewall
Tried VPN (PIA)

Thoughts:
Think maybe AT&T did "something" that broke qbittorrent
Thinking maybe port forwarding might be involved
Wondering about router/modem settings

Thanks, Jim

Quit working, as in NO download OR upload...nothing? 0/0kbps down/up, all?
Then it might be your own software firewall.

Is it just downloading, but you get a yellow sign at the bottom?
It's your port forward, or rather, the lack of it.
