Search Tab Ubuntu 14.04LTS

O.S.is Ubuntu 14.04LTS 64bit version

I now have a search tab but it's not doing much...yes there's messages about this so i will read up on those. I believe the problem is with the built of my O.S. It was missing at first but i've now modified my message since it's not letting me delete it.
