Need help setting up Web UI
Need help setting up Web UI
Could someone please help me in setting up the WEB UI for qBittorent? I wasn't able to find any guide anywhere on the forums.
Re: Need help setting up Web UI
Well, it is like, really easy.
- Open qBittorrent.
- Go into Options.
- Click Web UI tab on the left.
Then tick "Web User Interface" on top.
At the bottom you can specify your user/password that you will use.
OK the options dialog, and that's it. You are done.
Open a browser, and copy the following address into your url bar:
http://127.0.0.1:8080
- 8080 is the default port, so if you modified it change it accordingly.
- 127.0.0.1 means your own PC, so you won't be able to reach it from your school, workplace, and so on like this. But...
- If you tick "Use UPnP" on top, qBittorrent will ask your router to forward this port (8080). After the forward, everyone on the internet will be able to open your WebUI.
- And for last, if you want to reach your WebUI from afar, you will need a "Dynamic domain name", which is on the bottom of the settings, you already seen it by this point. Simply register on https://www.noip.com/ , make a cool name for your PC, and use your login details.
Okay, might be a bit much at first, ask if you have questions or get stuck.
I will add a wiki page with detailed steps and pictures on the weekend.

Re: Need help setting up Web UI
Thank you very much for this! I am able to use the webUI on my own PC now, will have to try it for work tomorrow.
Now, in theory, should I be able to use my IP:port and connect to the WebUI on my PC itself or that will only work when I try from a different PC with a different IP?
I have got the dynamic domain name as well and downloaded the dynamic update client as well.

Re: Need help setting up Web UI
Hi,
I can login to the WebUI, but i would like to see more columns by default.
Where can i have to look for a onfig file?
I am doing this on my Qnap NAS, so it is not a desktop PC.
