qBittorrent menu/options bar v3.3.15 ?

Hello,

Just joined the qbforums so hello to everyone and apologies if this question is silly.

I did make a search beforehand and did come up with a post which i thought was on topic but to my regret the answer to that post was that the user had opened a session of qbittorrent without closing it down ( which is not my case ).

This is a new install and have repeatedly tried to install and uninstall the  ppa , update packages before fiddling with settings menu.

Basically, the why i used to enable the options bar was clicking on the (view) tab but of course there is no view tab because there is no options menu.

For all those who still do not know what i am talking about it is this :

Since you said PPA I guess you use Ubuntu.
But which variant / version?

At the moment using xfce desktop.

I must use Ubuntu 14.04 for technical reasons whereby the 17.04 ppa eould not work for me.

In any case the way i solved the issue was to downgrade to v3.1.8 or to put it another way, simply use the native 14.4 stock repo.

.......and if you really want the latest version then go straight to windows version and download and install the .exe file using wine. Both these options worked for me.

You must first install wine using synapttic  for example.

Hope this helps anyone having same issue.
