how to create a torrent with qbittorent

I downloaded qBittorent from the Ubuntu Software Centre and installed it. It works fine but the qBittornet window looks odd and doesn't display the File Menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc). However it downloads torrents OK. My operating system is Ubuntu 16.04 64Bit. The version of qBittorent from the Ubuntu Software Center is 3.3.1. This is the most recent version I can find. This version doesn't seem to have any way to create and upload a torrent. So, all I can do is download. I can't create a torrent and upload it. Is there a way round this? Thanks for any help.
