Older Torrents won't connect to MULTIPLE seeds/peers

I'm trying to download a bunch of torrents I've had in the que but were paused or I didn't have bitorrent open for a while.  The newer torrents I added (like the RSD ones) connect and download, but many of the other torrents refuse to connect to any peers or seeds, even if there's 100+ of them.  If I don't force resume they just say "stalled." 

Any ideas why?
