Qb. 2.9.7 worked previously until Advanced SystemCare 5 ran 'Deep Clean'

Deinstall qBittorrent, delete C:\Users\"your_user"\AppData\Roaming\qBittorrent and C:\Users\"your_user"\AppData\Local\qBittorrent (first copy the folder BT_backup), run registry cleaning with CCleaner, install qBittorrent again.

Followed directions, Clean functional installation, qb blank, missing torrents, shutdown qb, copied contents of BT_backup to C:\Users\"your_user"\AppData\Local\qBittorrent\BT_backup, restarted qb, same fail on launch error, looked at files in BT_backup, 1 files was strange, it had no size info (attached), moved same file out of BT_backup, restarted qb., qb ran like a Champ, faster than it ever had ran before, Thanks for the assit., Much appreciated, E

Very strange. I had never seen 0 kB .fastresume file. Maybe your cleaning software is "cleaned" the file somehow, who knows. There is always some risk such a program to cause a mess. But i'm glad to see that you solved your problem. Btw i prefer to clean the system with the above mentioned CCleaner and no problem so far.
