3.0.0 does not identify itself (unknown) on private trackers

Post by stihia »

I've noticed that my qB 3.0.0 does not identify itself on two of the private trackers I've subscribed (in the "client" field qB 3.0.0 it appears as Unknown).
I must mention that on the tracker's peer list pages I'm connectable, and the speeds are good. Also, in the client, the number of seeds/peers is reported correctly. Sorry for not having account on more than 8-10 private trackers (and only 2 of them are permitting access to their peer lists). Here, other users experience on other private trackers may be of help.
Although I'm proud of qB, it seems you've missed this opportunity to "advertise" this client. And I'm not comfortable with this because (despite few bugs) this client has potential.

I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.

This merely means that those trackers do not recognise qBittorrent's peer ID. qBittorrent announces itself just fine.

Here is qBittorrent's peer ID (if you want to contact the trackers' admins):
